Maldivian Red Crescent opens “MRC Sri Lanka Relief Fund” to donate funds to support the response and recovery efforts of the humanitarian crisis in Sri Lanka caused by Cyclone Ditwah
The Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) opens the “MRC Sri Lanka Relief Fund” to donate funds to provide immediate relief and respond to the humanitarian crisis caused by Cyclone Ditwah. The fund will be open for 08 days from 01st December 2025 till 08th December 2025.

MRC Youth: Participation at the International Youth Exchange Program 2025
The International Youth Exchange Program (IYEP), hosted by the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS), was an opportunity to represent Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) Youth among peers from across the globe. This program brought together 36 overseas participants from 18 countries, alongside Junior Red Cross members from Japan, in a dynamic exchange of ideas, culture, and friendship. MRC Participants Fathimath Manha Mohamed and Mohamed Alim Aboobakuru , recounts their experiences with exploring cross-cultural exchange, leadership and capacity building and hands-on humanitarian action.

MRC Leadership Strengthens Diplomatic Engagements With Key Partners
The Maldivian Red Crescent President Ali Nashid and Secretary General Ahmed Shabin d conducted a series of introductory and courtesy visits to members of the diplomatic corps in the Maldives. These engagements served to reinforce long-standing humanitarian connections, particularly with Red Cross and Red Crescent counterparts while exploring shared priorities in resilience-building, community engagement, and humanitarian cooperation.

Strengthening Resilience through Partnership: MRC Conducts a CPR & AED Training for MMS
