MRC Sri Lanka Relief Fund 2025
MRC’s Sri Lanka Relief Fund supports critical and timely assistance in response to the large-scale flooding and destruction caused by Cyclone Ditwah. Funds will contribute to: First Aid services and medical support Emergency relief distributions including drinking water, staple foods, hygiene products, clothing, and other basic essentials Strengthening WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) interventions Search and rescue capacity, supporting operations that remain stretched with more than 228 individuals still missing Rapid community needs assessments carried out by SLRCS branches These interventions are vital as access to affected districts continues to be hindered by damaged roads, inundated bridges, disrupted communication networks, and delays in dispatching relief supplies.
Palestine Relief Fund 2023
Amidst the rapidly escalating Humanitarian Crisis in the Gaza Strip, Maldivian Red Crescent opens an emergency appeal to donate funds to support the response and relief efforts carried out by Palestine Red Crescent (PRCS). The funds raised will be directed to the Preliminary Emergency Appeal launched by PRCS on 10th October 2023 (Appeal Updated on 15th October 2023), which is targeted towards delivery of humanitarian assistance, such as provision of First Aid and Health Services, fuel and essential supplies for the operation of humanitarian facilities, transfer of the sick and wounded provision of clean water, sanitation and hygiene, shelter, basic relief items (including food, clothing, and household essentials), protection, and community engagement to the most vulnerable.
Morocco Earthquake Relief Fund 2023
The Morocco Earthquake Relief Fund 2023 was opened by The Maldivian Red Crescent to collect funds towards the Emergency Appeal of IFRC to support the Moroccan Red Crescent's response efforts to a deadly 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Morocco which occurred on 8th September 2023. The fund was opened from 14th - 21st September 2023
Türkiye and Syria Relief Fund 2023
The Türkiye and Syria Relief Fund was opened by Maldivian Red Crescent on 07th February 2023, in response to Emergency Appeal by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to respond to the deadly earthquake in Türkiye and Syria and support the relief efforts. The relief fund was opened from 07th – 14th February 2023
Nepal Relief Fund 2015
MRC launched a nationwide fundraiser following the Nepal earthquake in 2015 in partnership with Maldivian Medical Association and the Maldivian media
Palestine Relief Fund 2014
In July 2014, MRC launched a national level fundraiser in response to the appeal by the Palestine Red Crescent for the Gaza crisis.The support received towards PRCS contributed towards maintaining humanitarian aid and health services provided to Palestinian population in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, especially to the affected population in the Gaza Strip
