MRC launches the "MRC Nepal Solidarity Fund" to Support Communities Affected by Flash Floods in Northern Nepal

The Maldivian Red Crescent has opened the MRC Nepal Solidarity Fund in response to the devastating flash floods that have affected communities in northern Nepal. The fund reflects MRC's commitment to standing in solidarity with affected communities and contributing to the humanitarian response through the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.

MRC launches the "MRC Nepal Solidarity Fund" to Support Communities Affected by Flash Floods in Northern Nepal

Contributions to the fund will be remitted to the Nepal Red Cross Society through the IFRC Emergency Appeal, supporting relief and recovery efforts for communities impacted by the disaster.

Currently, MRC has launched two two ways to contribute to the MRC Nepal Solidarity Fund

Direct Bank Transfer
Contributions to the MRC Nepal Solidarity Fund can be made via bank transfer in USD. MRC is requesting contributions in USD only, to facilitate the direct remittance of funds to the Nepal Red Cross Society through the IFRC Emergency Appeal. Currency Conversion
MRC is calling on individuals, businesses, or financial institutions who may be able to facilitate MVR to USD currency conversion to come forward. Should such a facility be made available, MRC would be in a position to open contributions in MVR, making it easier for a wider group of the public to participate and contribute. Parties interested in supporting this are encouraged to reach out to MRC directly.

For those who prefer to contribute by card, MRC has launched a Give.Asia campaign for the Nepal Solidarity Fund. Contributions can be made securely online in a few simple steps at redcrescentmv.give.asia — providing an easy and accessible option alongside the existing bank transfer channels.
