Elected at the 12th General Assembly for the term of 2023 - 2027

Sharafudheen has held senior management-level positions at the Bank of Maldives since October 2015, with extensive experience spanning finance, accounting and administration. He has over 10 years of experience in senior management and has developed expertise in financial management, financial reporting, cost accounting and strategic planning. He has also contributed to higher education as a lecturer at institutions including Villa College and Cyryx College. His association with the Maldivian Red Crescent includes serving as Branch Secretary of the Fuvahmulah Branch.

Sharafudheen holds an MBA and a BBA (Hons), together with professional qualifications from CIMA and AAT, as well as a Master’s in Islamic Finance Practice from INCEIF University, Malaysia.
