The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 26 April 2026, formalizing a new chapter in a relationship built on shared commitment to strengthening community resilience and expanding humanitarian services across the Maldives.
Universal Foundation's support is not new to MRC. In 2016, the two organizations jointly conducted a health camp in Fuvahmulah and Kolhufushi, serving hundreds of patients while supporting broader awareness and outreach efforts in underserved communities. Universal Foundation has also previously contributed to MRC's Patient Transport Service, which has since grown into an ongoing operation in Greater Male' Area providing critical mobility support to those in need.
With this partnership now formalized under the Partners for Humanity Initiative, MRC and Universal Foundation look forward to building on this history working together to improve access to essential services, support vulnerable communities, and advance humanitarian Programmes and services across the Maldives.
