MRC Kulhudhuffushi City Unit Supports National Day 2026 Celebrations in HA. Utheemu

The official ceremony was attended by His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who conferred the National Award of Honour and National Award of Recognition at the event. The occasion brought together a large gathering of participants from across the country in commemoration of this important national milestone.

Working alongside health authorities and partner agencies, first aiders from the MRC Kulhudhuffushi City Unit were deployed across the two-day celebrations, providing first aid coverage and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all those in attendance. From the opening events through to the close of the national celebrations, MRC volunteers stood ready, present, prepared, and committed to ensuring that every participant could mark the occasion safely.

The deployment coincided with MRC's own 17th anniversary - a moment that brought added meaning to the service . For 17 years, MRC volunteers have shown up at national events, community gatherings, and emergencies across the Maldives, offering the quiet but essential support that allows life to continue safely. This deployment in Utheemu was no different, a reflection of what has always been at the heart of MRC's work: being there for communities, consistently whenever and wherever they need it most.
