The evening featured a range of activities designed to foster connection and a sense of belonging among participants. Organised in partnership with the Women's Development Committees of Addu Hulhudhoo and Addu Meedhoo, the event reflected the importance of community collaboration in reaching and supporting older persons and the value of bringing people together simply to celebrate one another.

For MRC, events like these are about more than an afternoon of activities. They are a reflection of the organisation's belief that social connection, inclusion, and active participation are fundamental to the health and wellbeing of older community members. By creating spaces where elderly community members feel seen, valued, and engaged, MRC and its partners are contributing to a more inclusive and caring community for all.

MRC extends its sincere appreciation to Seenu Atoll School, the WDC Addu Hulhudhoo, and Addu Meedhoo WDC for their partnership and support in making this event a success, and to all volunteers who contributed to bringing the evening together.
This activity is part of the Community Action for Resilience and Empowerment (CARE) Programme, a three-year community-based Programme delivered by MRC in partnership with the Ali Fulhu Thuthu Foundation.
