The event brought together children, families, and community members in a joyful and colourful evening, offering MRC volunteers a meaningful opportunity to connect with the community they serve, sharing information about MRC's work, Programmes, and services, and inspiring the next generation to embrace the values of humanitarianism and volunteerism.

World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, observed every 8th May, is a moment to honour the commitment of volunteers and staff across the Movement who show up every day for their communities. MRC's participation in the Children's Day Evening was a reflection of exactly that — volunteers present in their own community, celebrating together and reinforcing the bonds that make communities stronger and more resilient.

MRC thanks all volunteers who participated and the Addu City Council for organizing a wonderful evening that brought communities together in the true spirit of humanity.
