MRC Governing Board Convenes 108th Meeting in Person

The MRC Governing Board convened its 108th Meeting, the first in-person meeting of 2026. While Governing Board meetings typically follow a hybrid format, the in-person setting allowed for stronger engagement and richer discussion among members, bringing an added depth to the deliberations of the day.

The meeting reviewed progress against MRC's key work throughout 2026, including an update on the progress of Units in the North Region. Members also turned their attention to pressing matters shaping the organisation's direction, among them a governance issue paper raised by the Malé City Unit — a reflection of the active and meaningful role that Units play in steering MRC at the national level.

As volunteers themselves, the members of MRC's Governing Board give their time and expertise to guide the organisation, a reminder that volunteerism sits at the heart of MRC not only in the field, but in how the organisation is led and governed. It is this foundation of voluntary commitment that has shaped MRC since its formation, and continues to define the way the organisation moves forward.
