MRC conducted a Mental Health in the Workplace session for staff of the Kulhudhuffushi City Council, providing participants with an accessible and practical introduction to mental health awareness in a professional setting.
The session covered key aspects of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, including recognising signs of stress and burnout, understanding the importance of open and supportive communication among colleagues, and identifying when and how to seek help. By framing mental health within the everyday context of the workplace, the session aimed to reduce stigma and encourage a more open and supportive working environment.
Workplaces play an important role in shaping the mental wellbeing of individuals and equipping staff with the awareness and tools to look after themselves and those around them is an important step towards building healthier, more resilient organisations and communities. MRC is committed to extending mental health awareness across institutions and workplaces throughout the Maldives, and thanks the Kulhudhuffushi City Council for their openness and engagement in hosting this session.
