During May 2026, MRC conducted a Basic First Aid Training for staff of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), aimed at strengthening development and emergency preparedness capacity. The sessions covered practical training in CPR and essential first aid skills, equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.
As an organization at the forefront of disaster management in the Maldives, NDMA's staff play a critical role in responding to emergencies, making first aid capability an important complement to the work they do. MRC commends the NDMA team for their active participation and commitment to building their own preparedness alongside their broader mandate to protect communities across the Maldives.
