MRC Delivers First Aid Awareness and Falls Prevention Session at Hulhumalé Israhvehinge Naadhee

MRC conducted a First Aid Awareness session and a session on preventing falls for older persons at the Hulhumalé Israhvehinge Naadhee, bringing practical health and safety knowledge directly to a community space dedicated to the wellbeing of older persons.

The First Aid Awareness session equipped participants with essential knowledge on responding to common emergencies, while the falls prevention session addressed one of the most significant health risks facing older persons. The session provided practical guidance on how to reduce the risk of falls at home and in everyday settings. Together, the two sessions offered a well-rounded programme that spoke directly to the health and safety needs of older community members.

Events like these reflect MRC's commitment to taking its Programmes and services into the communities it serves, meeting people where they are and building first aid and health awareness in spaces where it can make an immediate and meaningful difference. Increasing the first aid capacity of our community and raising awareness for all are essential steps in building a more resilient Maldives.

MRC thanks the Hulhumalé Israhvehinge Naadhee for the opportunity to engage with their members and looks forward to continued collaboration in supporting the health and wellbeing of older persons in Hulhumalé.
