Maldivian Red Crescent initiates Transfer of funds collected from the MRC Palestine Relief Fund as of 28th October 2023

Maldivian Red Crescent opened an emergency appeal to donate funds to support the response and relief efforts carried out by Palestine Red Crescent (PRCS) amidst the rapidly escalating Humanitarian Crisis in the Gaza Strip. The relief fund initially opened from 14th to 28th October 2023 was later extended up to 12th November 2023 due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Gaza and the public appeal towards the extension of MRC’s Palestine Relief Fund.

Maldivian Red Crescent initiates Transfer of funds collected from the MRC Palestine Relief Fund as of 28th October 2023

While this relief fund is open till 12th November 2023, given the overwhelming crisis and the immediate need to provide humanitarian services by Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), MRC has initiated the process to fulfill the necessary requirements to transfer the raised funds as of 28th October 2023 to Palestine Red Crescent Society.

The total funds raised between 14th – 28th October 2023 was MVR 2,105,227.14. The Maldivian Red Crescent is committed to ensuring complete transparency and accountability for all the donations we receive and will share timely updates with the public on the transfer and utilization of the funds to help those in need in Palestine.
