Celebrating our Volunteers: International Volunteer Day 2025

Every year, MRC takes the opportunity to mark International Volunteer Day and recognize the incredible contributions of volunteers at the National Society and across the world,

For MRC, it’s a moment to celebrate the dedication of our volunteers who give their time, energy, and compassion to strengthen communities across the Maldives.

Central Regional Office

Volunteers in the Greater Malé Region marked the day with a fun-filled day trip. This opportunity offered a chance for volunteers to relax, connect, and celebrate the hard work of volunteers throughout the year through engaging teambuilding activities. Volunteers were also presented with tokens of appreciation.

South Regional Office

In Fuvahmulah City, volunteers from across the South Region came together for a vibrant celebration. The day featured games, team-building activities, experience-sharing sessions, and a volunteer appreciation event. The mix of fun and reflection made the event a true success, strengthening bonds and recognizing the collective impact of volunteerism in the region.

North Regional Office

In Kulhudhuffushi City and N. Velidhoo, the International Volunteer Day celebrations included volunteer appreciation events, bringing together volunteers to highlight the spirit of humanitarian service and the importance of humanitarian action in the community.

The annual Humanitarian Festival was also held in Kulhudhuffushi City on the occasion. This large-scale community event aimed at enhancing community engagement and promoting the organization’s programs and services through a diverse range of activities in partnership with local and national partners - Bank of Maldives, Eeezap, Happy Market, Dhiraagu, STO, The Usual Coffee House, La Vera Pizzeria, Mr. Octopus Kulhudhuffushi, Kluz,  Bonfire MV,  Ateliya Salon, and Pinetree View.
